Off to school...
Prior to the eldest daughter leaving for school early this morning she noticed an invitation I received to a wedding shower and inquired about it. She asked if she was invited to this "baby shower" and insisted that she had been to one before with her mother. I told her that it is her Aunt Katie's shower, so if kids are invited she would definitely be included. Then she went on to say, "Well, why don't the kids just have baby showers and then invite the adults?" I couldn't stop chuckling to myself. I thought..."Wow, baby's having baby showers...hmmm..". Although, it might seem a bit outlandish, it probably has occured before. What an interesting idea.
Nanny Fanny
Currently, I have been given the wonderful opportunity of looking after 3 amazingly talented little girls. The oldest is 6 going on 7. The other two are identitcal twins aged 4. After working third shift I role into their home and am greeted by 3 similing faces hugging me and telling me how much they missed me. The oldest serenades me with her show choir-like voice to Adele songs just about every morning. Then the big question comes...'where is my breakfast? I am hungry!' Throughout the day we play movies, ride bikes, sing songs and paint. But most importantly...they EAT! And I don't just mean eat, they eat as much as linebackers on Superbowl Sunday. Tiniest little girls at that. Instead of calling me Erinna, they have named me Erwinna. Quite cute!
